On Wednesday, May 12, 2021, members of East Redding Rotary held their May meeting outdoors at Whiskeytown Environmental School (WES). While enjoying their sack lunches, they listened to a half-hour presentation from the WES Forever Team about the damages caused by the 2018 Carr Fire and the plans to rebuild WES. Afterwards, they toured the campus and visited exhibits featuring the historic N.E.E.D. camp, the predecessor to WES. In January, 2021, the club donated $5,000 from Riffle Raffle funds to WES Community for the rebuild project and the tour gave club members a preview of how the rebuild project will proceed.
